Biography

Rajaa is a child and adolescent therapist working with children, adolescents and their families on a range of mental health difficulties. She is also a certified parent trainer for “Triple P International” and “Webster Stratton Incredible Years” programs.

Rajaa received her MSc in child and adolescent mental health from Kings College, London. During her clinical placement she worked in child and family services with interventions focusing on cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT), Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and systemic therapies (family therapy). She also provided services as part of a multidisciplinary team working with child sexual abuse (CSA) and has experience in trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) for children with Post traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).

Rajaa obtained her Bachelor’s and postgraduate diploma degrees in Psychology from Monash University, Australia where she gained her training in educational settings providing cognitive assessments for primary school children and aiding in treatment planning for children with scholastic and social difficulties. 

Rajaa’s work experience includes both the private and public sector. She was appointed in  Al-Masarra/ibn-Sina hospital, Ministry of health for 10 years, after which she joined the private sector in Al Harub Medical Centre for one year.  During her time in Al Masarra hospital, she provided psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults with emotional struggles as well as cognitive assessments for children with scholastic difficulties.
